Using some of the film noir attributes, tension is built like in a mystery thriller, then shifts into sci-fi storytelling.
The inspiration was found in a short story "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl where, at some point,
the audience knows more than its characters.
Actors' indifferent expressions are combined with carefully guided voice-over to further examine the principle of Kuleshow Effect.
